Hi, I'm Temetria a single woman in midlife. But not quite ready for the Moomoo life. I'm focused on curating a life that I love. A life that is bold and vibrant and full of purpose. And I'm passionate about helping other women do the same. So join me. If you're ready to create curate a big, bold, beautiful life that you love.

Hi, y'all happy new year. It's January 1st, 2025. When I am recording this and I. Talked about it a couple of episodes ago that I'm now moving these podcasts to Thursday. Because I do a live on Wednesdays. In Facebook, which you're welcome to come join me. If you want to hear the lives on Facebook's even on Facebook chat on Facebook. But I do the lives on Facebook. And then I use that video here for the podcast as well. So I moved. The drop date, the drop day for the podcast to Thursdays. So this will be dropping January two. 2025. And this is. Officially unofficially. The hundredth episode. So a little celebration behind that to go with celebrating the new year. So I'll explain. In that hundred I'm counting. Full regularly scheduled regularly in quotation marks because I've taken a break, some weeks have been skipped, but full episodes. I've had a hundred. That does not include bonus episodes where I had something that I wanted to say right away. So I just dropped a podcast. At an off time or when I had guests and we were talking about something special. Like the time when I had my friends, Christina and Shanna on, we were promoting the feel better, do better live, better summit that we put together. And we did several kind of promotional podcast around that. So those are bonus episodes. So if I'm relying on Buzzsprout, who I use to put out my podcasts. I'm probably at 102 or 103. But. Four. My official count, my official count. This is 100, so woo. We're celebrating 100. You'll see on the video that I add to this, that dream alive, I had champagne and toasted the new year's. So cheers. I'm not going to get more champagne, but we're still celebrating and ringing in the new year. So. I am. Celebrating that I have done over technically over a hundred of these. A hundred official podcast that takes some commitment and some work, even if it has not been perfect. I put in the time. I've learned the things I've done the things to get out a hundred. Episodes. So I'm celebrating that in the live that I, that you'll see in a minute, I talk about what it takes to. Reach your goals to fulfill the resolutions. If you set resolutions. I talk about what it takes to get to the place that you want to be. And it takes work. And it takes effort and it takes planning, not just luck and wishing and hoping. So that's what that episode is about, but I want it to take a minute to celebrate. A hundred episodes. I want to thank you for joining me for tuning in for being part of this. And invite you to, again, come over to Facebook. If you want to be part of the live conversation. I will put a link to where you can find me there on Facebook. And also want to say that. This year 2025. If you have something that you're working towards, if you have something that you're wanting to create, if you've tried before and have not been successful. Maybe it's time to do it differently. Maybe it's time to have the support of a coach. And the guidance of a coach. Schedule a consultation with me and let's talk about it. Let's talk about how we can get you to your finish line, how we can get you to your goal. How we can make 20, 25 your year, how you can be successful because you can be whatever it is that you're dreaming about, that you're wanting to achieve whatever you wanting to become or do you can. And you may be able to do it on your own, but if you've tried before and you have not been able to, why not get the support you need to achieve that goal. If it's important to you. Why not invest in yourself and get the coaching that you need to achieve that goal. Okay. So stay tuned for the live that's coming. I will talk to you soon. Hello, Facebook. It says we're live. Okay, we're live. Happy New Year. Cheers. So this is Wednesday. This is not quite the normal time. The normal time that I will come live and, share this information with you will be, 1 o'clock. There's, there's a little football game on, so I've been watching football and getting ready. I'm watching football mostly, so I was watching football. So there's that. But I did want to come on and do this live and talk to you. First, I want to, speaking of football, talk about New Orleans and the things that are going on in New Orleans and just send out prayers and love and hope to the people in New Orleans. Because it is shit. Sorry that sometimes you gotta cuss and It's crap. That is heartbreaking and it's crap. So, praying for the people in New Orleans. What I wanted to, what I was gonna come on here and talk about, and we still are gonna talk about that too, is New Year's resolutions, plans, whatever. Last night as I was watching Dick Clark's Rockin Eve, I still call it that, I know it's not, I think it's Ryan Seacrest. I almost said Ryan Reynolds, doesn't matter. It's watching that, watching movies, doing different things, but scrolling on Facebook, really just kind of hanging out. And I saw a lot of posts about people making 2025 their year and making. Talking about their resolutions and plans and things that they wanted, making their black eyed peas and cabbage for tomorrow or for today. They were making them last night for today. And I think that's a Southern thing. If y'all don't know, look it up. Black eyed peas for luck, greens or cabbage for prosperity. And then the frozen grapes are relatively new to me. I talked to people, heard about people doing that as well. And, I'm here to tell you that you're going to need more than Black Eyed Peas to carry out, have all those things that you're planning, all those resolutions, which I'm not a big fan of, um, or plans. Come to fruition. So you're going to need more than black eyed peas. What I didn't see a lot of yesterday was the plan, the details that go into it, the nitty gritty, how it's going to happen. And maybe that's just because that's part of Facebook and the pretty part, what you want to put out there. But I'm here to remind you, Coach T in the house, to remind you that you need a plan if all of these things are going to come to fruition, if you're going to reach those goals, if you're going to do the things that you say you want to do in 2025 and make it your year. You need a plan, you need some steps, the steps you're going to take, when you're going to take them, how you're going to make it happen. So right now your resolution or goal or whatever is just the vision, not the plan. And so I want to share some information, share some tips with you. On how to actually follow through, how to get to that place that you want to get to, how to make 2025 your year, if that's what you want to do, so. If you have the resolution, you have the goal, you have the vision. You want to make that vision as detailed as possible. Really spend some time thinking about it. Journaling about it would be even better. I love journaling. Writing it out. Write out what that looks like, how you're going to feel when you reach that goal or have that thing or do that thing. Really tap into like, say you want, um, a new job, how you're going to feel on that first day when you have that new job, when you're walking into that office, how you're going to feel then, or whatever the case may be. Really get very detailed About that vision. Then you want to spend some time on your whys, why you want that vision, why that's important to you, why you're willing to put in the work to have that thing. And I say whys, because you want to have more than one. Um, more than one reason. More than one thing that will keep you going when you get to the miserable middle. And the miserable middle is when you've been putting in the work and making the sacrifices, but you don't have the payoff. You have not reached the goal yet. That's that miserable middle where you've done the things, you're doing the things that you said you were going to do, you're doing the work, but you don't really have anything to show for it. And that is a lot of time that's often when people will start to, will just say, uh, well, it's not worth it. The work that I'm putting in is not worth it. It's just easier just to forget about it, right? To go back to what's comfortable, to what's easy instead of putting in all of this work and still not having the thing. So that's why. You want to be able to tap into those reasons that you have for setting the goal in the first place. You want to tap into your whys. And you want to have, like I said, as many as you can think of, because on any given day, one why may not resonate with you. So just say, for example, you are Um, losing weight for your class reunion, which I'm not advocating, just work with me on this example. And that's in June or August or something like that. You come home on a Tuesday night and you've had it up to here and those Oreos are looking pretty good. That date in June with those people you haven't seen in a hundred years, not going to be that important. So having another why something like, um, your health. Checking in with your doctor in the next month or so, or the pants that are in your closet that you want to wear this weekend. One of those, something like that may resonate more with you at that point, or just wanting to be proud of yourself. So having as many whys as possible. to keep you going when times get tough, when you want to chuck in the towel. Um, the next thing you'll want to think about is what are the things that need to happen or the things that you need to do to reach that goal. List all of the things that, that need to happen. So I'm going to give you a brief example that I talk about when I do my three year plan workshop. So say your vision. is to be a real estate agent who closes 14 million a year in, um, in deals. So if you are not currently a real estate agent, it would be get your real estate license, sign, pass your real estate exam, Sign on, well, go, go to real estate school, pass your real estate exam, sign on with a broker, start to market yourself, have your first deal, right? Those would be the steps that you would take. So list all of the things that have to happen. That's just a simple example. There are probably, I know there are a lot more steps in that process that you would need to take, but spend some time. Thinking about all the things that have to happen for you to get to whatever goal you have or for you to make 2025 your year, whatever you're working on. Then decide on your first step. What's the first thing that you need to do? So in that real estate example, it would be Take a real estate class, right? That's your first step. In another example, like depending on what you're doing, there may not be a logical first step and that's fine. You can do the low hanging fruit, like whatever is easiest for you. You can do the thing that will make the biggest difference and build that momentum to help keep you going. But you break down the things that need to happen and then you decide When you're going to take that first step, put it on your calendar, make a plan to do it. If it's a big goal, then break that down and decide on the first step for that goal. But that's your, that's what you want to do there. Then you want to think about the obstacles that are going to come up. Because there will be obstacles and how you're going to deal with them. How that's, how you get to a goal. You can say, I want, I could say, um, say I want to be a real estate agent and do whatever. One of the obstacles is like, okay, well, I don't have a real estate license. So figuring out how to get that license would be the first step. And that's not, That may not be the obstacle that you're thinking of. Um, let me see if I can think of a better example. Um, something that comes up, that comes up unexpectedly. Uh, I don't know. Okay. So maybe I do the real estate class and I don't pass. So that would be an obstacle. Then I don't pass the exam. Then you have to go back. And figure out how to, what you need to do to pass it. Study some more, get, take another class, get help, get a tutor, whatever, and then take the test again. So you figure out how you're going to overcome the obstacles that come up. And one by one, as you address those, as you figure out how to get past them, you get closer and closer to the goal. That's how you reach a goal. And then you want to know how you're coming along, how, how you're progressing. So you're going to need a way to track You have to be able to track the progress to know if you're celebrating and continuing or if you need to course correct. You need to know, are you getting there? Are you making progress? Um, do you need to do something differently? What does success look like? Um, what, when will you know when it's time to try something different? So you need to be able to track your progress. Um, so that is what you need. Those are the steps you need. That's the detail that you need. You need a whole lot more than black eyed peas and cabbage. That's what I work on with when I sit down with a client and they tell me they want to reach a goal, then we talk about it. We get detailed on what they want, why, how they're going to get there. We work on mindset. That's a big thing too, your mindset. And I will tell you that going through this process, the vision, the why, what needs to happen, those things will help you begin to shift your mindset. So listing the things that need to happen in order to get to that goal will help your brain start to work on what's possible. Instead of automatically going to, well, I can't do that. So mindset is a huge thing. That's a big shift that needs to happen as you're going for that goal, as you're moving towards that goal. So not just black eyed peas and cabbage and grapes. We need the nitty gritty. We need to do, we need to know what we're doing, what we're working towards. And just kind of an aside, but related. I don't know. Some of you were On my Word of the Year workshop that I did with my friend and fellow coach, Shanna Pizer. We did, um, we helped people go through and pick their Word of the Year. We kind of, we guided them through the process. And in that process, I was pretty sure I knew what my Word of the Year was. I'd, I'd done the pre work and I solidified it then. And my word for this year is work. So I have the goals. I have the things that I want to do. I have the plan. Y'all know I love a plan. Hold on. Shameless plug for my planner, Curate Your Life Planner, which I spent some time with this morning. It was so fantastic. Um, new year, new planner, new quarter, just giddy over here. So, um, But the word of the year really kind of helps you solidify your intention. It's kind of like a theme as you go through the year. So my word of the year, my theme is work. I am putting in the work, taking the actions, living the plan to get to the goals, the dreams that I have. And I would love to help you do the same thing. If If you have that goal and you're like, well, I don't really know what my whys are, or I don't know what the first step is, guess what? Coach T can help you. I ask the questions. I can help you with the mindset to help you break it down into those doable chunks to get you there. I can help you with accountability. And help you get past those obs obstacles that seem um, insurmountable. I can help you figure out how to get past those. Okay. So I'm sure the game is back on and I am going to go watch the rest of it. I am here if you need me, feel free to send me a direct message. Let's, let's kick butt in 2025. Let's do all the things. I want to do all the things and I want to help you do all the things. So, okay. See you soon.
