TemetriaHi, I'm Temetria a single woman in midlife. But not quite ready for the Moomoo life. I'm focused on curating a life that I love. A life that is bold and vibrant and full of purpose. And I'm passionate about helping other women do the same. So join me. If you're ready to create curate a big, bold, beautiful life that you love.
HIO. I want to talk to you about something today. This is another lesson from ballet. So remember when I watched Ted lasso and I had a lot of lessons from Ted lasso. That was just from watching TV. This is from actually being in it. So be ready for the lessons that. I'm sure are gonna keep coming as I go through this ballet class, which has been fantastic by the way. But I just posted, um, Uh, post on Instagram. It was me on Sunday, right before I headed out to ballet and my leotard and some pants and tennis shoes, I snapped the picture and decided to post that today. I was going to post it, then I just never did. But decided to post that today. And the title of the picture is ballet ready. And I thought about that and I meant ready dress to go to my ballet class. But then I thought about me being really ready to take a ballet class because it had been over 40 years since I'd been in a ballet class. I don't remember exactly when, because when I was younger, I was doing dance lessons. I started with ballet, tap, jazz and acrobatic. Statics. And over the years, you know, things dropped off and you just focused on one thing. And I focused on jazz dancing, which I guess is probably kind of the same thing or in the same realm as modern. Um, modern dance or modern jazz. Anyway. So it had been awhile since I had been in a ballet class. So I was thinking about that if I had waited to sign up until I was ready. When would I have been ready to take a class? What would I have done to get ready to take that class? And the other thing was that I signed up for the absolute beginners class. So the only thing that I needed to do and that I actually did. Was start was begin. That was the only thing that I had to do. When I saw that ad, I could have decided, oh, I'm not going to sign up for this workshop. I'm going to wait until I'm ready and. Then the next time they offer the workshop. I'll sign up. But again, what would I have done? What steps would I have taken? To get ready. For that beginner's class. And I'm telling you this now, because I do consultations. I meet with people. On a zoom one-to-one and we talk about. What they want to work on in coaching, what they're looking to do, what goal they want to achieve, or what transformation. They're looking to make. And a lot of times. They say, well, I'm just not ready or I don't know. Let me think about it. And I know that when we get down to it, when I talked to them, when I asked him some more questions, and a lot of times it's the doubt and the fear. And the unknown the will they really stick to it and do the things that they commit to doing. To have the change to get the life, to do the thing that they want to do. Will they be able to do it? Is it hard? Or how is this all going to turn out? If I. Meet with Temetria every week. And we go through this, like, will I really be able to do it? How long will it take? How hard will it be? Where do I start? You can't always see when you're at point a, how you're going to get to point J right. But you can't. Stay at point a until you're ready to get all the way to point J you have to make your way through. B C D we start where you are or if you're somewhere and you're already at point D, but you want to get to J. We start there. I meet you where you are. We talk about. Where you are right now and why. Why you're there. And we talk about where you want to be. The things that have gotten in your way in the past or the things that you think will get in your way. And then we plot a path to get to where you want to go. And we take it one step at a time. And the example that I used in the post about me being ready for ballet. Was when we got there on day one, we started with the basic positions of the feet in ballet. And you can Google positions of the feet and ballet if you're interested, but there are five of them. And she demonstrated first position, second position. She demonstrated all those positions and we practice them. And then we moved on to plea AEs and elevators and Relevate and those things, but it was one step at a time because it was an absolute beginner's class. She started with. The basic positions of the feet. And she met us there. Had it been this workshop two or workshop three. She would've started someplace else. Right. So that's what I do with my clients in that initial discussion, we figure out where they are, where we're starting and we start there. Bet you have to be willing to start. Where you are. So we are now week three. Starting. So we are now week three, beginning to. Do quarter turns, which will eventually lead us to. Pirouettes. But we needed to know. Where the feet start it, which position where it was supposed to land. And we're just doing quarter, right? Cause we can't make it all the way around yet. And I imagine that our next step will be half turns. And then you get all the way around. If we had walked in on day one and she said, okay, do these quarter turns a lot of us probably would not have come back the next week. She didn't start there. She knew what class she was teaching. She started where we are. And that's the importance of the consultation to figure out where you are and where you want to be and how to get there. And I just was thinking about this and wanted to bring it today because I run into people who are wanting to talk about time management and how to be more efficient and get things done efficiently and not feel so overwhelmed. And they will actually say, I don't have time for this right now. And it's not that they can't find the one hour a week to make their lives more efficient, to be less overwhelmed, to figure out. How to create more time and how to. More efficiently manage their time. It's that they don't know. Where to start. They don't know how they're going to get from overwhelmed and rattled and frazzled and feeling stuck. To the place of feeling like they can accomplish the things that they want to accomplish in the time that they have. And not feel. Like, they've just been running a marathon. But I figure out where they are, what the blocks are for them. And I helped them take those steps to get there. So they don't need to know the answers. That's the, that's the part. You bring me. What you have, what you're working on. I figure out the blocks, the roadblocks what's keeping you stuck. And I hope you get past those to get to the place that you want to be. So you don't have to feel like you're ready or believe that you're ready. You just have to tell yourself that wherever you happen to be. In that particular moment, you are ready to start. I will meet you there and we will work our way to where you want to go. So if you've. Ever had an inkling or if you've been thinking about it, And. You're telling yourself one of these days. Today is the day to schedule the consultation to assess where you are right now. To figure out where you want to go. And to map out the plan. To get you there. Don't wait until you think you are ready. Start right now. Be ready right now. Right here. Don't wait another day. Take action. Now you are ready. Now. You will thank yourself. Later. Until next time.
